Recent images

I’ve now finished my work in my home, and am away from home for a while. In a way this is good as it gives me time to reflect on the images I have and work hard to edit them into a final Work in Progress selection. This is an interesting change for me as in my last project I was not making many images, so I did not have to make any real editing choices. I need to determine which of my black and white shots work the best together, and whether to include colour close-up shots.

Here are some shots from my final few days of making images with direct positive paper in my Mamiya RB67.

The top chair and two bed shots are, in my opinion, stronger images for my project. However, I’m also wondering whether individual object shots like the table and the giraffe and lamp base do well in terms of adding detail depth. These are the decisions I need to start making. I plan to decide on an initial edit in the next few days/early next week. This will give me time to work out whether I’m happy with my choices.
