After considering a number of framing options and deciding which type of frame to go with, as discussed in two previous blog posts, I have decided to use custom made frames from an online company. I have received examples of them (as I looked at in the decision blog post) and am certain they are the best choice for this series.

I waited until I had my latest 1-to-1 with Stella before ordering the frames, as I wanted to get her take on them. She agreed with me on which size to get and was positive about them.
Now that I have my frames sorted I need to work out the window mounts. I have tried to create these myself using art shop tools and mat board, but I have not been very successful. So instead I have found a company online that can make them. Working out the exact dimensions based on the frames I have ordered and the images has been stressful, but I have triple-checked all of my measurements and maths and am confident I have got it right.
I need two different mount sizes, one for the pinhole images and one for the medium format images. I need a different number of each, as the images are not divided 50/50 between the two types. I do not know exactly how many of each I will need as I have not yet done my fourth shoot. However, I can buy a few additional of each to cover this. I also need to make sure I have enough and the right sizes for any images from the previous Homelight series that I wish to sell.
I have found a company that can make these and within the time. I am a little short on time now so I have been looking for companies close by that I could pick up from if necessary.
The frames and mounts have just been ordered and should be here early next week. As long as they arrive before the weekend of 13/14 I will have enough time to get all the images framed without being too stressed and pushed for time.
All told including the cost of the frames, mounts and photographic paper that the images are made with, each image has cost £10.91 to make and frame (not counting darkroom chemicals and time). Which, I feel, is a good cost for a homemade, handmade project.
