Further inspiration from Rinko Kawauchi

Rinko Kawauchi has been an influence on my photography for some time now, and I have discussed her at length in a previous blog. However, I have now become aware of one of her pieces of work that I had not focussed on before, and find it links well to my current work around the city.

Martin Parr Foundation visit

Along with a number of colleagues from the MA course, I spent today at the Martin Parr Foundation in Bristol. Our visit included a tour of the gallery, extensive photo book library, and archive.

Urban inspiration

I visited Tate Modern yesterday to have a quick look at the room full of Martin Parr’s work before heading to his foundation today. The same general exhibition had a number of photographs that I found interesting in relation to my current work.
